Tux: Guide
Tux er den offisielle Linux-maskoten tegnet av Larry Ewing i 1996, som et resultat av en logo-konkurranse. Larry tegnet Tux på frihånd med tegneprogrammet GIMP.
Tux er en forkortelse for Linus Torvalds|Torvalds Unix. Det er altså ikke en forkortelse for tuxedo (smoking), selv om mange nok assosierer smoking med pingviner. Navnet Tux ble forøvrig første gang brukt av James Hughes.
