Siena: Guide



Siena er en by i sentrum av den Italia|italienske provinsen Toscana. Byen var tidligere en egen bystat. Det er ifølge noen en av de vakreste byene i Toscana og i Italia overhodet.

Siena er blant annet kjent for «Palio», et hestekappløp som holdes to ganger per år (2. juli og 16. august) på torget Piazza del Campo midt i byen.

I 1995 ble Sienas historiske sentrum ført opp på på UNESCOs verdensarvsliste.
