Woodstockfestivalen: Guide
Woodstockfestivalen var en rockefestival som ble avhold i USA i august 1969, og som har blitt verdens mest legendariske musikkfestival. Festivalen skulle opprinnelig avholdes i Woodstock, New York|Woodstock, New York State|New York, men festivalen ble istedenfor flyttet til en melkegård i byen Bethel, New York. Navnet Woodstock ble imidlertid beholdt. Musikkfestivalen fant sted på gårdsmarken til bonden Max Yasgur. Det var ventet et publikum på 20 000 personer, men det kom utrolige 300 000 mennesker som samlet seg under mottoet «Three days of peace, music and love».
De enorme folkemassene skapte kaos og trafikken gikk i stå. Trafikken på utfartsveien fra New York sto nesten stille i to dager, og det ble mangel på legehjelp og mat. Sanitærforholdene var generelt ikke så bra.
